Years of work on the family farm, climbing ladders to paint and loading farm supplies into pickup trucks is built into the story of this piece. Strips of denim from my father-in-law’s work coveralls, my paint pants for years and years, and my husband’s jeans as he works to help other farmers form the stripes of the flag. Pieces of our family history that are now finding a new life in art. Placed on raw canvas with hand-cut stars and buttons from a sweet tin passed on to me from my mother-in-law, this flag screams summertime, patriotism, hard work and love of family. Framed in a handmade wood stained frame, made by my husband, Joe. Size is 24 1/2 wide  x 19 1/12 tall, including frame.
